Welcome Corliss Udoema
Corliss Udoema is an innovative and results-oriented entrepreneur, philanthropist, evangelist, author and an international motivational speaker. Recently named as one of Prince William Living’s Phenomenal Women, Udoema is a life-long community worker who has been recognized for her contributions to assist and improve the quality of life and foster spiritual growth for those in need.
Corliss serves as President/CEO of Contract Solutions, Inc. (CSI), a national staffing firm which she grew from a seed of less than $50 to a successful national multi-million-dollar, debt free company. Udoema’s company has been named by the Washington Business Journal as one of the top 30 staffing companies in the DMV as well as one of the top 2 Small Business Philanthropist companies of the year.
Udoema has been the recipient of numerous local, state and national awards, including the Small Business Administration of Virginia’s Small Business Person of the Year, and 3rd runner up in the National Small Business Person of the Year competition. Corliss’ accomplishments in business and her record of giving back to the community were entered in the Congressional Record by Congresswoman Barbara Comstock. Udoema is also the recipient of two Congressional awards for her work in the small business development arena. Based on her hard work and business growth and excellence in business, Udoema’s company was three times named by INC Magazine as one of the fastest growing companies in the United States. In addition, Udoema’s company was also named as one of the fastest growing companies in the Commonwealth of Virginia. CSI was recognized by the Department of Agriculture as the Small Business of the Year as well as the Woman Owned Small Business of the Year.
In addition to running a successful multi-million dollar company, Corliss is also President of Agape Love in Action, Inc. (ALIA) a nonprofit 501c (3). Her nonprofit efforts include ‘Hope in a Bag,’ which last year provided more than 5,100 bags to the to the homeless filled with personal care items. Never one to rest on past achievements, in July of this year Udoema’s non profit has already bagged and distributed over 5,000 bags to the homeless. ALIA”s Wisdom Meets Technology Program which provides computer literacy training and free computers to senior citizens has benefited more than 600 senior citizens. Business Battle Buddy, another ALIA program, provides contracting support and business mentoring for veteran owned businesses. Corliss hails from New Bern, North Carolina, and after traveling to 59 countries now lives in Haymarket, VA.
Udoema was educated in the public schools of New Bern and attended the University of Maryland. Udoema retired from the Federal Government where she served in various national and international executive contracting and procurement positions. A few of her areas of expertise include Legislative and Executive Government Acquisition, Business Development, Leadership Training, Procurement Review and Assessment, and Contractor Business Facilitation. Udoema has developed and facilitated contract workshops, federal women workshops, budget workshops as well as religious retreats. She has served as keynote speaker and workshop facilitator for government, non-profit and faith-based organizations including the General State Baptist Convention of North Carolina, the North Carolina Continuing Education for Community Colleges Convention, Senator Warner Women’s Conference and the 10th Congressional District Young Women Leadership Program which by her own admission is her favorite!
Corliss has a passion for our veterans and our community at large. She believes in putting “Action” towards her passion. Her demonstrated love and support of veterans from both her for profit company and her non-profit program Business Battle Buddy has earned her the nickname of “365/24/7 veteran supporter!”
