Colonel Peter Baker retired from the US Army Field Artillery after serving 27 years. He commanded a joint multi-national brigade in Operation Iraqi Freedom, Iraq. His command consisted of six foreign armies and units from the US Army, US Navy, US Air Force, US Special Forces and other federal agencies. He was responsible for the protection, logistics, and administration of over 4,500 soldiers and civilians. His duties included integration of coalition units with Iraqi state and national units and engagement with the Iraqi state-level leadership to improve conditions in the Wasit Province. His last assignment was as the Chief of Information Operations Division on the US Army Staff, Pentagon. He was responsible for developing, coordinating, and executing strategies involving policy, programs, and focal point for synchronizing Army Information Operations.
Following his retirement, he was the Director of Business Development, Land Domain, for Saab Defense & Security USA. He was responsible to identified new business opportunities and established and maintained a customer relationship with the US Army, US Marine Corps, and the US Department of State and supported partnerships with defense companies.
He joined SOWW as a volunteer in October 2015 and assumed duties as the VP of Operations in February 2016 until February 2017.
