A Review from a Rider
Thank you to all our participants, sponsors and volunteers for making our Innaugural Warrior Bike Ride such a huge success.
Here is an email from one participants about their experience at our Bike Ride.
“So I normally do not leave feedback, however your event has raised the bar for all others. I have done a few other rides and before today I would say The Great Pumpkin ride was my favorite. They still have better shirts;).
Things I loved:
The Bone – my favorite BBQ.
Haymarket Bikes – my favorite bike shop
Farm Brewery – my first time there but incredible venue with good beer so will be visiting many more times.
Route – I did the metric century and it was a truly beautiful route. Challenging climbs with very nice downhill rewards. My only concern was about the last 5 miles some of the drivers did some scary passes. The route was very well marked with excellent volunteers and police providing guidance.
Rest stops – very well stocked with extremely friendly volunteers. I actually felt bad I could not eat more of the great goodies you had available. Only recommendation is pickle juice, it really helps with the cramps. The plains stop had the most enthusiastic volunteers very much appreciated.
The Bikers (Nam Knights of America)- wow did not think how useful they would be but my God they were awesome. One followed me out of The Plains and I never got a chance to thank him but he became my best friend for the next 8 miles protecting our rear. Please please invite them to every event and tell them how much we appreciated them.
I look forward to next years event. I hope you are able to build it and attract more riders and sponsors (impresses with the sponsors you attracted for the first one!). I will do my part to invite everyone I can find to join me next year.
Can’t wait to start planning next year’s Warrior Bike Ride!
