SOWW Welcomes New Executive Director

Haymarket, Virginia: Serve Our Willing Warriors (SOWW) and the Warrior Retreat at Bull Run, are pleased to announce, Jeffrey K. Sapp, M.S., M.A., M.A., has joined SOWW as its Executive Director.

As a 30-year retired Navy Commander, Mr. Sapp brings a rich history of knowledge and experience in organizational alignment and management – attributes that will help make a direct impact on the SOWW organization.

Shirley Dominick, founder of Serve Our Willing Warriors and the Warrior Retreat at Bull Run, said, “We are thrilled to have Jeffrey join SOWW and spearhead our policies, programs, and initiatives. Jeff will be involved in the day-to-day operations of the organization to include staff management, fundraising and financial management, future initiatives and overall operations.”

During his career, Mr. Sapp is experienced in helping to provide the right technology, the right capabilities and the specialized research and development that supported all aspects of the Naval Surface Warfare. He served at the Office of Intelligence & Analysis, U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and was instrumental in reshaping strategies that lacked vigor or solved the wrong problems and created outcome-oriented action plans that improved performance.

Born in Colorado Springs, Colorado, he attended the US Naval Academy where he distinguished himself by becoming the first African American named co-captain of the Naval Academy football team.
