Serve Our Willing Warriors Now Participating in the Combined Federal Campaign
Serve Our Willing Warriors is pleased to announce it is now eligible for inclusion in the 2015 Combined Federal Campaign (CFC), designation number: #90228. Through the CFC, Federal employees are able to pledge support during the campaign season to aid eligible nonprofit organizations providing health and human service benefits.
In 1956, President Dwight D. Eisenhower created the Combined Federal Campaign for federal employees to help improve the quality of life for all by promoting and supporting philanthropy through a cost-efficient voluntary program. Since then, the CFC has grown tremendously and is now the largest and most successful annual workplace charity campaign in the world.
Operating as a non-profit 501 (c) (3), SOWW was founded in 2012 for the purpose of establishing a retreat for recovering service members from the clinical hospital environment. In 2013, SOWW purchased 37 acres near Bull Run Mountain in Haymarket, VA., and renovated the existing 11,000 square foot house in order to transform it into what is now the Bull Run Warrior Retreat. The retreat is operated primarily through donations and hundreds of volunteer hours each month.
Federal employees in the United States and overseas wishing to donate to a program that supports wounded, ill and injured military service members can now do so using CFC code #90228.
Serve Our Willing Warriors is a Virginia, 501(c)(3), non-profit corporation.
